Finally some good news
It wasn't too long ago I posted about all of our financial struggles the past few months. Well, they really didn't pan out. DH got a buy out cheque (for unused vacation time) which has tied us over. Mind you, the LOC with the new truck and the VISA are huge. We have just been paying bits at a time on that. My pay should finally be in order soon as they now have all of my paperwork....AND..... the house has sold!!!!!!!!! Well, almost. It still has some conditions (inspection and financing). But, the financing should not be a problem and we had the home inspected 4 years ago when we bought it and there were not any problems. Please say a prayer that it all works out.
Keeping you in my prayers, but it sounds like things are starting to work out! Good luck!
I don't quite remember all that y'all are going thru, but I am glad that things are looking better .I will definately pray for your family.
Good news about the house, Paula. Crossing my fingers that everything goes smoothly.
Thank goodness! I hope it all works out for you!
That is so wonderful! I can't imagine the weight that will be lifted off of your shoulders once the house is GONE!!!
Paula, crossing my fingers and toes for you that all goes well with the house sale! Good to hear that things are finally getting easier for you.
Paula, that is SO AWESOME!! (Not yelling, just excited for you!!) I know the house sale is a huge burden that's been lifted. How is the job hunt going for your DH?
We signed the papers today. The closing date is Nov 30 so here's hoping all goes well. Heidi...DH found a job. It's not the best job but it is paying the bills for now and he'll keep looking for something more along his line of expertise. I can't wait to be done with the house and not have all those worries.
Paulas, Around a month or so ago, I was looking at Momsview for the first time and saw your post about your husband moving to join you before you felt it was financially prudent. Boy, did I relate! We are also going through some..ahem..exciting financial times. My DH made a big career change that is going to result in a big drop in income--even when he starts to make an income, which will not be for at least another month. BUT, my point is: your posting and the compassionate responses from other posters convinced my to sign up for Momsview. THEN, within a few days, I got swamped and didn't come back until tonight, where the first post I saw was yours! I'm so glad things are starting to come together for you. I hope everything goes smoothly with the house sale and your other changes.
I'm so glad things are looking up for you and your family, Paula. Good luck! Welcome to Momsview, Martha!:-)
Glad things are going well for you and your family now, isn't it a great feeling?
Phew! I was kind of worried about you guys and was hoping it would all pan out very soon for you. Another answer to prayers. And it sold before the holidays! woohoooo!!!! So happy for you.
((((hugs)))) I'm sooooo happy your house sold! Things are definitely looking up
Well, How are you feeling?? You have stepped out of your safe zone and it looks like you are going to make it. Keep the faith that all will work out and it will. So happy the house sold.. Big hugs (((((Paula)))))) And welcome Martha...
Welcome Martha! You will find the ladies here are so supportive. I don't always post much but have been here for just over 11 years (many of us started at Mommy times, then Mom to Mom and now here). Whenever I need advice, I know I can count on these ladies. I hope things work out for you. I KNOW how stressful it can be. We are now looking in to a house that has gone to a mortgage sale. I'm not sure I am ready for all the work that will be involved (incomplete home) but it will be worth it in the end.
Paula, if by a house that has gone to mortgage sale you mean a foreclosed house, you should have a real estate lawyer check everything out. I've read a couple of articles that indicate there can be a lot of pitfalls in buying a house that has gone to foreclosure (and even more in buying a house on "short sale", that is, being sold by the owner because they've missed payments and are in danger of foreclosure).
Thanks for the tips Ginny. We have talked to a lawyer who has been advising us. It is being sold by the bank b/c the auction did not bring in a bid high enough to cover what was owing to them. The previous owners are out of the home now and it has been locked by the bank. They have moved away.
