Does anyone drive a chevy uplander?
We are thinking of buying one this weekend. The price is great, for a minivan. It's a 2006. Any experience?
Nope, but will be excited to hear if you get it and how you like it!! How fun!
I don't own one, but when we went to Disney last week we rented one. One day we drove to my Grandparent's house(a 1-1/2 hour drive each way) Personally, I didn't think it was very comfortable, I missed my Odyssey. It seemed to drive okay though.
I don't own one either but one of my best friends does and she wouldn't recommed it. She has had it in the shop at least 6x. They can't pinpoint the problem, but she said the alarm for the door ajar will ring and ring while she is driving, and the doors have malfuncitoned on a few occasions. I have the mazda mpv and have never had any problems and its a 2000. Many people have overlooked this van, but I would buy a new one in a heartbeat. Goodluck
Thanks for the info. We put it off, and didn't go into the car lot to test drive it yet. Sounds like maybe it's not the best choice. We rent mini-vans on our vacations and it's a great way to sort of "test drive" them in real life driving situations, rather than just a spin around the block. After spending some time online over the weekend researching, I've found that the uplander doesn't really hold it's value very well at all. It looks to drop $10K + in the first year. That is one reason we put off the test drive. Anyhow, I think we'll stay away from it for now. We don't NEED to buy a vehicle right now, just got sucked in by the good deal. We'll just keep our eye out for something else. I've been looking at the saturn relay online, which looks nice. But we just bought a saturn car a few weeks ago, and the dealer said that the saturn relay is being discontinued. Not sure why, but it makes me feel iffy on it.
