We are trying to buy a house and have asked the owners to repair the garage door since there is a 3 inch gash in one of the panels.

Have any of you had any garage door repair done? How much was it?

We just bought a new garage door. An entire new door (two car garage door...not sure what it's called), completely installed with all the bells and whistles (digital controls, outside keypad entry buttons, safe close, etc.) was just under $2000.

I do know that you can get just a specific panel replaced for around $300 or so. I happen to know this because when ours was installed, one of the panels had a dent, and the company had to replace it. No cost to us, of course.

We had to have a panel replaced a few years ago. I think it was around $300-500.

Thanks, ladies! We asked for $400 towards the garage and a few other things so I'm hoping that covers it! It should only be a panel or maybe we could put some bond on it, seal it, then paint it. The sellers are being such a pain in the butt...
