An update
Hi there ladies. Just thought I would update you on my situation. I am in New Brunswick now. DH and DS are still in Alberta but are moving next week. Our home still hasn't sold there yet so I am extremely stressed about how we are going to pay all of the bills. DH is still seeing things with rose colored glasses and thinks everything is going to work out. He is showing the house to someone today who might buy it or rent it. I hope it works out but I am skeptical. On a positive note, DD absolutely loves her school and is so excited about going even though she hasn't made any close friends yet. That is a big change over last year when she hated to go each day and it was a struggle. She loves learning french. My new job is going well. As with anything new, there are certainly kinks to work out. Last week was tough. I had many breakdowns. I think that is why DH said enough is enough and decided to hand in his resignation. Like I said, I am not sure we are doing the right thing but it's done so there is no turning back now.
Paula, leaps of faith generally come with huge rewards in the end... this will work out as long as you work as a team and some day you will look back and be amazed at what you can do if you set your mind to it.. I am very glad your dd loves her new school and I hope ds will as well.. take care and keep us posted... Lots of prayers...
Thanks Bobbie. I know my outlook on things certainly changed when DH called and said he was coming. Even though I was thinking it would be best to wait for the house to sell. He is showing it today. Please say a prayer that this will be the one. We are going to be very negotable with our price. He is even making lunch for the family.
(((hugs))) Paula. And I agree with everything Bobbie said. Just hang in there, and I will definitley say a prayer that everything goes well with selling your house. Take care
More of the same thoughts as Bobbie. Be faithful and expect the best. As the saying goes, when one door closes, a window is open. Everyone I have known who has gone thru tremdous trials has been so greatful for where it lead them in the end, even though it was very hard at the time.
{{{HUGS}}} Keeping your family, in my prayers.
Paula, I have much the same thoughts as Bobbie, though I can truly appreciate your stress. {{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}} and prayers, that your life will stabilize again SOON. Good luck selling your house.
We had an offer yesterday! It's $50000 off our listing price (and $45000 less than the appraised value) but at least it's a starting point. The buyers are going to go to the bank to see if they can get their preapproved mortgage up a bit. We would like an additional $15000 to make it work. Wish us luck.
Paula, that's wonderful news and I'm so so so happy these people are willing to work it out with you guys! On a totally different side note, be wary of insurance on a vacant home. If you have to move, can you leave some things behind? Our vacant home in AL was over $1,000/month on a $150,000 home. While we were out here in CO, we left our stuff back in MD until it sold. It sounds bad, but we didn't tell our insurance company because most people won't even cover you when you totally move out. We learned that the hard way. Maybe leave a bed behind or something?
storming heaven....
Is that $50,000 ) fifty thousand?
yes
