Positive Thoughts Please
I'm not sure if this belongs on another board or not, but I wanted and need a response now. Yesterday my right eye ( oh I wear contacts) just started running and got red I had a lot of sinus pressure, which I have never had before, but just shrugged it up to that my sinus with the heat that we are having. But after going to the restroom to inspect, I thought I saw a white dot on my cornea(sp), so once I got home I to inspect further, yes there is a white pin tip size size dot on my eye. I just spoke with my doctor 9(optromist)and she told me to coem in today at 3:15 so that she can examine me and had to tell silly ole me to take my contact out so I cant' see a thing. I'm not going to lie I have been worrying every since last night, mainly about if something is wrong then what about my kids? and that same thought is still in my mind. I keep trying to tell myself that it's nothing major that if I was going blind or anything I would probaley noticed a change in my vision. Oh boy I wnat to know what is going on but at the same tiem I'm scared to know/find out. If you all could just plese keep positive thoughts that all is find I would appreciate it. And I'm sorry for this being so long and drawn out. So thank you if you made it this far.
I've never heard of this. Prayers for it to be something simple. Be safe driving to the appt. Can you even drive?
Will keep you in my thoughts this afternoon.
So what did the dr tell you? How's your eye?
(((Hugs)))) Please let us know how you're doing!
I hope all is well??
I know how to drive but can only see out of one eye so I took the bus from work. I dodged a bullet this time, I have been wearing contacts for 14years and have never had a problem. But I someone had a dirty lense(it was new out the pack) maybe my hands weren't clean enough. I didn't imagine it there is a white dot inside my cornea just above my pupil. She said ( don't remember what it's called) forms to warn of debrie build up in the eye. I don't recall the name for what I have , but I have the equilevant of a staph infection, just in my eye so she gave me antibiotics and ordered me to use them for 5 days. And although recommend for night and day wear, she told me to cut back on sleeping in my contacts so much that my eyes aren't getting enough oxygen so I have red broken blood vessels at the bottom of my eyes. SO I told her a few days, I'll stop sleeping in them all together, I have no problem taking them out at night and putting them back in. I've been doing it for so long it doesn't even take me 20 second. So although scared I'm glad I went and I'm glad it was not anything worrsier. But through this I have found that what I have been telling my dks all along is true, the most dirtiest part on your baby is and are your hands. I always keep lysol around at home and work.
Glad it was nothing permanent. And I just had to laugh at what I think is a typo. "the most dirtiest part of your baby..." I'm sure you meant "body", but when reading this post I got the quick image of you changing a dirty diaper right before doing your contacts. LOL.
Yeah, DH would always wash his hands, before dealing with his contacts. I'm glad it wasn't anything more serious.
I used to wear contacts - most recently I wore bifocal contacts - UGH!!!! I always washed my hands really well before putting them in or taking them out. I was terrified of an eye infection. And I never slept in them. Hope your infection goes away quickly!!!
