I don't know how this happened so fast, either! It seems like she was born, and in the blink of an eye, she is all grown up.

We drop her off at college, in just under a month! Our lives will never quite be the same again!

Oh,Dawn, such a bitter sweet time !!! You are so right when you said your lives will never be the same.We want our children to grow up and have their own lives, but at the same time , it totally changes ours!! It is so great when they are home,in their own beds at night, and your life is so full of the things that we do with our kids.Then one day...everything changes !! You and Gary seem to have a rock solid marriage,and that is so good because ya'll are going to really need each other in the next few years .Just like you did in the beginning, with all those mounds of diapers and bottles...just differently.Enjoy every moment !!!!

Yes. We all went to the Bratwurst Days parade, in the morning. She went to the festival, in the afternoon, with her friends, as a last get-together, before college, and we went out to our favorite Italian restaurant, for supper. She even got free Tiramisu, because it was her birthday. (She shared with all of us, though.)

a cute story i had to share:

My sister and I are 7 years apart and we fought a lot when she was in high school. I remember the day we dropped her off at college, 4 hours away, I cried like a baby! I remember my mom asking what was the matter and i just sobbed "I miss Marianne!"......the funny part? We were not even out of her dorm parking lot. LOL

Now we are best friends and she still lives 4 hours away.

Dawn I can remember when Tom started his first semester of college. We took him down set up his dorm, and then left I cried for 3 hours all the way home But now as he is entering his senior year of college I am so happy for him how much he enjoyed his college years.
