I need help ladies! My soon to be 12 year old dd's birthday party is going to be at a local bakery/tearoom. They will have tea and tea sandwiches and a short etiquette lesson. I need help wording the invitation so that it doesn't seem babyish. I need to word it in a way that they know to wear a dress (sundress or whatever). HELP! I have to get these invites out in the mail soon. My dd is currently in Italy and won't really have any way of having any input on the invites so I need to make sure that they are good ones....

(Birthday girl's name) invites you to join her for a birthday tea party celebrating her 12th birthday. For your tea time with (birthday girl's name) please wear your favorite dress for high tea. You can also wear your dress up hat and gloves.

You could include a tea bag with the invitation.
