Update on girls' Chicago trip
They are having a great time! Two went with my brother to a White Sox game yesterday. My little softball player brought her glove. There was a foul ball and the person on the field threw it up into the stands and she caught it! They were also sitting three seats away from Vince Vaughn. They were too shy to ask for a pic with him or his autograph but they said they took pics of him lol They went to the play Wicked last night and all three thought it was amazing. My avid reader 13 year old went and bought the book. My 16 year old bought a pair of $200. jeans! They all had pedicures in a salon where the owners did everything for them..ie: taking off shoes, back rubs, putting on their shoes, serving them soft drinks, unlike where they usually, go like walmart! My southern country girls, who have actually used the phrase "All Y"all" are having a blast in the big city!
I am so happy that they are having a great time. They really deserved it after this year! I hope you and your son get to have some fun too! ((((hugs))))
Thanks, Yvonne. I gave the girls spending money for their trip so the amount that I gave my girls I bought my son a PSP. He's a huge gamer. He's been hanging out with a mutual girl friend of his and my 11 year old. She also has a PSP so they have been having a great time. He helped me with the yard last night, feeds the dogs, vacuumed, we've gone to the movies, out for lunch and today he wants to take our papillion for a swim at the beach!
Sounds like a wonderful week for all of you!
That sounds like so much fun! They will remember this trip, forever. Your son sounds happy, too!
Wow. It doesn't get much better than that. I am older than dirt and still haven't had a pedicure where they take off my shoes. Lucky girls. It sounds like your son is having a blast. So, very happy for all of you.
Sounds like a nice little vacation.. I bet your DS is loving the one on one.. And $200 for a pair of jeans?? Hope they fit like a glove. LOL
Bobbie, my brother gave each girl $150 extra spending money. So I'm sure in her 16 year old brain the jeans only cost HER $50. lol Thanks everyone. They are having a great time. Ds is, too! His friend slept over again last night and today we are going to the beach or the waterpark. I miss the girls, though! It's way too quiet here for me.
Annie, all four of my kids went to church camp this year for a week. First time I have been completely kid free for more than an over night in 17 years. I missed them like crazy, worried over half the time. They got home and started up and I was wishing I could figure out some where else to send them. LOL Now I can't get quiet, LOL.. If you want noise. I could send you mine... And yes I am sure she was thinking that they only cost her $50... This is one of those lessons that has to be learned the hard way. I have x amount of cash, I can get this this and this or THOSE... Typically a kid/teen will go with the THOSE. Like I said, I hope they fit like a glove, she is coming back with quite the $200 souvenir... lol
It sounds like they're having a blast!!! $200 for a pair of jeans??? Do you have any idea how many clothes I could get for $200?!? I hope she enjoys them! lol When do they get home?
