TMI thread about tampons lol...
Okay i just started using tampons but today i am mad lol.I just wasted two of them because for some reason they wouldn't insert?Does anyone know why this could be the case.I did it like usual and nothing happened. Thanks
What do you mean nothing happened. It stayed in the tube? You might not have the tip inserted far enough and it came right back out?? What kind are you using?
Yes it stayed in the tube. I'm using Tampax Pearls
It could be that it's a bad batch and the bottom part that is supposed to push the tampon up is either too big or too weak to do so. That's odd for Tampax pearls because they are usually a very good brand.
I've really had no touble inserting Tampax Pearls. You have to push the smaller part, until it reaches the larger part. (I've been dealing with the cardboard Tampax, because I bought the wrong thing at the store, the last time and didn't realize it, until I got home. Argh. They are almost gone, though, thank goodness.)
I think I know what you mean. Maybe not enough lubrication. Sometimes at the end of my period it is more difficult to insert.
no i think it may be too much lubrication i'm on my heaviest day eww i know. I'm getting frustrated too lol..i just wasted the third one i think i'm going to forget trying today and hopefully tomorrow it will work because i want to go swimming = ) which is the reason i even decided to try them finally lol..
Personally, I Use OB. No cardboard applicator seems easier to me.
You may want to try a brand with a cardboard applicator. The same thing happens to me sometimes with plastic ones.
That was my thought too Annie, at least for the heavy days... Plastic applicators for light days and cardboard for the heavier days. I don't need them anymore, but I have had similar issues in the past with the plastic ones.. No different then switching up your pads for coverage.. Light days to max heavy duties days.. LOL Best of luck Brandy... LOL Hopefully you can find something that works for you... this like everything else is trial and error..
OK - TMI HERE! Sometimes it's the muscle wall that is too tight to allow the tampon in. On the directions it actually says (at least on the ob box which are the only ones I will use) to tighten the muscles (like you are going to urinate) and then relax them a few times. Hope you get it figured out. Sorry if that was TMI Ame
You have to make sure you are relaxed and in the proper position to insert them.Try directing it to the small of your back...you might be trying to push it where it might not go.I like the OB ones too and I've never had a problem. You will LOVE the freedom of doing what you want when wearing them.
