He was working tonight and had a disagreement with his supervisor. It wasn't a big deal. He told me about it and I can't even remember what it was about. Anyway when he came back from his lunch break they had a letter for him telling he was fired. If he would have been there 2 more weeks then they couldn't have done that. After 6 months you are put on a contract for a year. This sucks so bad. I have no clue what we are gonna do. I guess we will both start looking and the first one to get a decent job will go back to work. I have so enjoyed being at home. I wasn't ready to go back but you have to do what you have to do.

We have so been there.. Not the same situation but a rapid loss of a job. You are both in my thoughts... I hope you can make a quick turn around.. Best of luck to you both.... more(((HUGS)))

I'm sorry that happened. (((((HUGS))))) I've been in a similar situation, 9 months pregnant so I wasn't able to go to work right away, but I did as soon as I could. I hope you find something soon.
I hope your dh will immediately apply for unemployment comp. And if the employer says he was fired for "cause", he should demand a hearing, because often what an employer considers "cause" is not considered cause by Unemployment Comp boards.

I did his application for unemployment last night. I hope they do not challenge it but if they do he will fight it. It was just so out of the blue. Things will work out. I am not gonna get to bummed about it yet. The part I really hate is we were gonna go look at a new mobile home today. I guess that will have to wait. But when we get all this straight then we can go looking again. Thanks everyone.

Latonya, while both of you are job hunting, I suggest you also check out the rules for food stamps and Medicaid (health insurance coverage), which are intended to help people out who are in a rough spot, and also assistance with utility bills. I know you may feel uncomfortable about this, but believe me - having been there and done that - there is no shame in getting help that is already paid for when you are in a tough spot that is not of your making.

I applied for food stamps and the kids are already on medicaid. I am going to call about help with the electris bill. My bill is 356 this month and there is no way we can pay it.
