Job hunting...
is no fun at all!! When I was younger, I guess I thought that you graduated college and some company came and scooped you up and gave you a job, just like that. Oh how I wish! I have a bachelor's in Human Resources, but I think my lack of experience is holding me back a little. I have been applying for 3 weeks and haven't gotten a phone call yet. (I know it takes time). I have to start working full time at the beginning of August. That's when my husband starts coaching football, and has to cut back his hours at his other job. Football doesn't pay until the end of the season. So, if nothing turns up before then, I guess I'll be waiting tables for awhile. Anyway, wish me luck!
I know just what you mean. I've been trying to go back to work, too, just in a different field than in which I've been previously y employed. I'm more than qualified for the jobs I've been looking for, except of course, they want the years of experience. That I don't have. sigh Hang in there. Someone is bound to call you.
Jen, that is so hard! Have to looked at your college's connections? Sometimes they have career counselors that know companies that are hiring. I would also look at Craigslist.org for job openings. Good luck!! It's hard when there's a deadline!
How frustrating! Good luck!
In my thoughts... Best of luck..
Good luck! I hope something turns out soon. I graduated in June 1983, from nursing school, but didn't have a job, until November 1983, even as a nurse! I still can't believe that. It was a good job, though, and worth waiting for. I met my husband, while I lived in that city!
