Alice In Wonderland 3-D
Moms View Message Board: Books, Movies and TV Shows: Alice In Wonderland 3-D
I recently took my 13 y/o DD and my 8 y/o DD to see this movie. It's in 3-D but we went to see it in an IMAX theater. I LOVED it! Its a Walt Disney Productions picture directed by Tim Burton, starring Mr. Depp as an orange-haired Mad Hatter. It's about a return trip to Underland (formerly known as Wonderland) for a now-teenage Alice. It's been predicted that she's the chosen one who will overthrow the Red Queen and slay the her Champion Jabberwocky with the Vorpal sword. It's full of fantastical creatures and special effects. And a Queen of Hearts, who constantly screams "Off with their heads!" It's loud, It's visual and it's intense! That being said it is rated PG but I am surprised that this movie, with its thunderous lightening, severed heads, scary chase between Alice and the Bandersnatch beast and the Jabberwocky battle, is not rated PG-13, which serves as a warning for parents. I will repeat - I LOVED it! And so did my 8 and 13 y/o DD's but I will admit my youngest did take off her 3-D glasses on a few occasions due to fright. So I suggest no one younger than 8 go - but use your own parental judgment Running time: 1 hour 48 minutes. **** 4 out of 5 stars
Made lots of money on opening weekend! I strongly urge you to see it!
We brought 8 kids. Mixed ages-girls and boys- everyone liked it. Was actually better than I expected. Not as dark as some of his other movies.
I Agree! And I LOVED it too!
