What are some of your favorite books and why.... I love Karen Kingsbury, (she has a new one out today, but I have to wait until Christmas). I love Nicholas Sparks, he also has a new one out. I am always looking for some more ideas. I love to read.
Debbie Macomber, because she writes about women and their families and always mentions in passing that someone is knitting a baby blanket, or someone is putting on a hand-knit scarf, as part of the story. She likes to knit, too.
I read a lot of psychological/crime dramas, stuff about detectives catching serial killers, etc. I also like political/legal mysteries. (I really don't know how to explain either genre, LOL) Some of my favorite authors are Stuart Woods, James Patterson, David Baldacci, Harlan Coben, Jonathon Kellerman, and Michael Connolly. I also read the first two books in the "Odd Thomas" series by Dean Koontz, they are very interesting.
I love Debbie Macomber!! I just got her new one in the Cedar Cove series. Crystal, I have not tried to read any of those authors yet, but my sister loves all of them. I will have to pick up some of hers and try them. I have read a couple of love stories by James Pattersons like "Sundays at Tiffanys" and Sam's letters to Jennifer", I think that is the name of them. Thank you both for giving me some more ideas.
I haven't ever read the Patterson books you mentioned, I really only enjoy his Alex Cross series... like "Kiss The Girls", and "Along Came A Spider" (most people know those from the movies).
Joelle, I just got "Sunday's at Tiffany's" today at the library. I had never heard of it before. I also picked up a book by Nicholas Sparks called "Dear John" My favorite author lately is Jodi Picoult. I've read probably 7 of her books this year. My mom turned me on to her. She's a great writer. I like the James Patterson books. I just finished "SAIL" last night. It was a good one. I read it in about a week, which is fast for me.
I think you will like Sunday's at Tiffany's. It was really good. I also like Jodi Picoult, I have a few that I haven't read yet.
