Writer's Strike
Moms View Message Board: Books, Movies and TV Shows: Writer's Strike
From what I have read on imdb.com's message boards, most daytime soaps have enough episodes written to get them through the new year, including Young and Restless. So besides all the late night variety shows and Saturday Night Live (Jay Leno and Julia Louis Dreyfuss are on the picket lines), Desperate Housewives is the first to be affected, as well as Friday Night Lights and Las Vegas. 30Rock, til death, Back to You and other sitcoms filmed before live studio audiences will soon follow. Unfortunately, it looks like reality and game shows are on their way in, since there is no need to write for those. So prepare to be bombarded. tvguide.com has a blog to keep us up to date on the strike. Here's the link to November's entries. tvguide.com writer's strike blog
I just hope Grey's and Private Practice and ER aren't affected. :-( I do watch Desperate Housewives, so I'm a bit disappointed about that.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm Guess I should have read the link first. :-(
Was Private Practice on last night, because I couldn't find it and was more than bummed!
No, you didn't miss Private Practice - the CMA's were on ABC.
I don't watch that much tv. I doubt I'll even notice.
I won't notice either. As long as Survivor is on, I'm happy! LOL I do ALL reruns anyway. I have found that there's not much on anymore that interests me.
