Another heartbreaking news story
Moms View Message Board: The Kitchen Table (Debating Board): Another heartbreaking news story
http://www.canada.com/vancouver/vancouversun/story.asp?id=D31A45FD-825D-4970-9388-DD2FD3188125 This man is suspected of murdering his children. This happened a few days ago and is still in the news. This brings up the question why do people kill? this man has no history of mental illness (that they have said) yet he apparrently murdered his children. I have been following this on the news and they found a shotgun in the room where they found the skeletal remains of two of the children and feel he may have killed them first. THEN he attempted to kill himself AFTER he went and got his wife and brought her home to the house where his children were inside and burning to their deaths. IF he didn't shoot them first.

This is so horrible. I don't know why people kill. I just can't believe that this goes on as much as it does. How can parents kill their children? I don't know. I'll post more on this later. I can't think straight right now, that story really bothered me.
I saw a bit in the paper today that he is being charged with murder of all six of his children. He has been locked up in a hospital for the sick (he tried to kill himself) and goes to trial in April. JUJU are you ok? I didn't mean to upset you so
I'm ok Catherin, thanks for asking. I have an opinion on this, but I'll post it later, when I have plenty of time, and less going on around me .
Ok, here is my view on all of this that is happening. I hope no one is offended by my post, but this is what I truly believe. I think that we are living in the end times. The bible speaks in Revelation about things "waxing (growing) worse and worse". And if this isn't worse, then I don't know what is. We have parents killing their children, children killing each other, and adults. The hate and the rage that is so prevelant today is just astounding to me. I can't understand it and don't even try to anymore. I only pray. I do wonder this though, why isn't this case getting as much attention as the Andrea Yates trial? It is everybit as horrible. Double standard???? I think so.
Jujubee, a short answer now, as I am at work, but maybe (probably) more later. Times are not worse. In fact, by and large, times get better every decade. I read a lot of history and this is what I see. However, because of (a) the speed of communication and the spread of information and (b) the fact that today we are speaking about and being outraged by things that were previously kept secret, thought to be "none of my business" or just accepted (like wife/child beating).
