Moms View Message Board: Prayer Requests: Not good news
While at my parents on Christmas day my Mom got a call from my Great Aunt. That my Moms sisters husband(confusing)has got stage 8 prostate cancer. He was felling ill so my aunt took him to the dr and they ran tests and found it. I dont know about the stages but they told us and 8 was really bad. We havent' heard from my Aunt yet. I remeber as a child my Uncle and Aunt would come pick us up and we would go spend the night at there house we would have so much fun. My Uncle use to fix up old cars and we would watch him and help. My heart is aching he lives in Oregon and us in Oklahoma its not a fast trip to get there in a hurry. So my parents are going to go as soon as they can get things straight. We are all going to video tap messages for them all.
Stage 8 basically means is that it is fast growing. I'm so sorry to hear this. I imagine he is going to have further testing done?
The video sounds like a great idea. You and his whole family are in my thoughts..

Sorry to hear this. One of my clients just found out a few days before Christmas that he has this also. Luckily they get such regular routine care that the doctor thinks they caught it early. He has several tests this week to see how far its progressed. Cancer is such an evil thing. It takes you fast sometimes. I am sorry your family is going through this.
a little update on my Uncle. Its better to get the information first hand than through the grape vine. He does have prostate cancer. They seem to think that it was caught in time. he goes in for more tests also to see where he is at for the lines of treatment. He is at a stage 7 which is still pretty bad. I can't figure out whey they didn't catch earlier he goes in once a month for blood work and a few other tests after having a heart problem. all in all the out look is good if it hasn't spread but they think it hasn't and my Uncle wants them to just cut it out and no worry about it. thank you all for your prayers and thank you for your continued prayers.
Will keep him in my prayers.
I will keep your Uncle in my prayers.
How is your uncle now?
He is doing really good he goes in this thursday to have his prostate taken out so he wont have to worry anymore. The drs told him they have a real good chance of getting it all out. Thank you all for your prayers
