I rarely visit the prayer request board. It's ironic that today I made an effort to do so. I just received an urgent prayer request from church.

A friend's 18-month old nephew is in the hospital in Florida. His white blood count jumped from 1200 to 2400 in 2 days. Doctors aren't sure what is wrong but are thinking possibly a bacterial infection. They are running more tests. He has a high fever, is lethargic, and has swollen lymph nodes.

Her words in the email were "I know that prayer is very powerful-so please just take a moment and send a prayer up there that God will put his hand on this situation."
