Hi all,

My dh is retired marine corp. My son is joining the marine's and it is his hope that he gets Camp Pendleton as his first duty station. I know that there is a spouses website either for Camp Pendleton or a Marine website for spouses. Does anyone know the website so that I can pass it on to my dil?? Also, where can I find out how long the waiting list is for the ranks? They have a ten month old ds.

I know Melissa (Boxzgrl) is there with her DH. Here is a link Marine Wives to a site for Marine spouses. I don't know about the Marines, but my DH is Army, and we could check the waiting list by going to the post's official site. Here's the site for Pendleton.

My DH is here at Pendleton. Crystal gave you great links. I used to be a member of that message board. It's great for advice. The housing waiting list depends on the type of housing he will be put into (if he's stationed on the South or North side of base). They can range anywhere from the 3 month to 1 year waiting time, sometimes faster and sometimes slower. Pendleton is a GREAT area for families. If your DIL needs help finding her way around, send her my way.

Thank you ladies,I knew that you were there Melissa, can you tell me if they ever did anything with Wire Mountain or Serra Mesa? I know that when we left there in April 2004 I don't believe they had done anything with it. They need to get housing, so if they get stationed at Pendleton I hope that it doesn't take too long. Until they do she and the baby will stay with me... I will certainly tell her about you when the time comes!!!

I don't think they've done anything with Serra Mesa, that's by Mainside right? Wire Mountain has some changes. We're actually in Wire Mountain 2 which was completely rebuilt and finished last August and are for NCO and SNCO's. Wire Mountain 1 they renovated a few years ago but the exterior still looks pretty bad. Wire Mountain 3 is completely demolished and they are starting to rebuild this year. They also just fully renovated Santa Margarita housing. It doesn't look too bad.
