I dont know why I thought you might enjoy this... On our way home from Colorado we stopped in the Texas panhandle to visit my Grandparents. I went to the cemetary where my Grandma is buried and had not yet seen her tombstone... On her side of it, it had a quilt hanging on a rack, a pincushion, and needle and thread etched in it. She loved to quilt. I thought that was pretty neat. Of course on Grandad's side they had etched a calf (he always raised cattle), a cowboy on a horse with a lariat around it... (he rodeo'd at one time and he went on trail rides for years) Grandad has not passed away- he lives here with my parents now. The grandparents we went to visit are really slowing down and Grandma was sick the whole time we were there. OK, the part I thought you might enjoy was the part about the quilting!
Very neat! Thanks for thinking of me. I think it's cool to see personal stuff on peoples' tombstones b/c it gives you more of an idea of who they were. Sorry your grandparents aren't doing too well. I last my last grandparent in November, so I know how tough it is.
