Outlook Express Help
How do I block my list of recipients when sending out emails? I see a lot of people doing it but I can't figure it out on my system. Thanks!
I don't know exactly what you are asking but...if you are trying to send and email to a bunch of people and you don't want them to all know each others addresses you could put the addresses in the cc area instead of the to area. Does that make sense? HTH
You need to put all of the names in the BCC. Blind Carbon Copy. The CC is just Carbon copy.
I'm sorry I should have explained that better....you need to click where it says cc and it will give you the option to use bcc (blind carbon copy).
you beat me to it Tonya, lol.
I'll try that. Thanks!
I use Outlook Express, and when you go down the "select recipients" list you can select the bcc window. When people send me and lots of other people an email and they haven't used bcc or some other blocking mechanism I always ask them to. I don't really like my email address out there to be seen by a bunch of people I don't know. And I always use bcc when I'm sending the same email to people who don't know each other.
I use BCC as well. On a couple of occasions, I neglected to use that option (and Ginny pointed it out to me! LOL). But I prefer that *my* email addy not be given to a bazillion total strangers as well.
