Suggestions for Grilled Porkchops Please!
I'd like to grill chops tonight on my indoor grill (it's similar to a George). I always feel like they are a little bland when I grill them. Any suggestions to doctor them up?? (I didn't post on the Recipe Board because I want quicker repsonses!) TIA Deanna
You could try poking a bunch of holes in them with a fork and making a mixture of salt, pepper & garlic powder and rub it in real good on both sides. (careful with the salt) I've done that before and it turned out well.
My favorite way to cook chops is to make up an easy glaze with apricot jam and something savory. I've used soy sauce, chili powder, garlic paste, or dijon mustard. I love the sweet and spicy blend.
I like to put Ranch Dressing on mine while cooking them it keeps them so moist.
I don't have apricot jam darn it!! I usually do garlic, salt, and pepper spread all over, but they just seem kind of plain. I have honey mustard...would that work? Maybe that with other spices? I've never put a mustard on chops before.
1 (10 oz.) bottles soy sauce (lite or reg.) 1 bottles water 3tbsp. honey 3tbsp. orange juice Use large pan with cover. Use 2 bottles cold water to 1 (10-ounce) bottle of soy sauce. (May use 1 to 1 ratio if stronger, marinade taste desired). Add orange juice and honey, stir thoroughly. Add 10 to 12 pork chops or pork steaks to marinade mixture. Cover completely with marinade for at least 8 hours. Grill over hot fire and serve.
Apple Juice is yummy, too. Ame
We mix balsamic vinegar and either cranberry sauce or rasberry preserves, heat on low until the cranberry sauce or preserves melt and then pour over pork chops.
Italian dressing is great
I have an AWESOME recipe that calls for peanut oil. Otherwise, the balsamic vinegar would be a good choice.
