Yay! We finally bought me a mini van last night! I am so excited. We have only had 1 vehicle forever now and we finally broke down and got me one. My husband has a Dodge Ram that is a diesel so we have been having to throw Kaylee up into it since she was born. It is so nice and we got it for a steal because we weren't very happy with the dealers service. Here is the story. First we looked on the dealer's website at their Dodge Caravans and we saw one on there that was in our price range so we made an offer on it. They called us back so we went in last night to look at it. I will have to throw in that we had to drive about 45 minutes to get there! Anyways when we got there the salesman was running around every. He said that he had to locate the van. Me and my husband were just watching him run around like a chicken with his head cut off. We both just kept looking at each other like what the heck is he doing. Well about 45 minutes past and he finally comes up to us and says that he couldn't find the keys to it because someone came in earlier and put a deposit on it. So we were like okay do you have any more like it. So now he is on another hunt and pulls up a white one with the ugliest blue interior I have ever seen. It was one of the newer ones but I wasn't really impressed with the interior color but I thought hey for the right price why not. So this is where it gets really good. We take it on a test drive with out the saleman. My husband drives it first. Then asks if I want to drive it back so I say of course since it will be my vehicle. Well when I start to drive my husband tells me to put the cruise control on the see if it works. So I do and then all the sudden the van starts acting up and jerking and the speed keeps dropping. So I am thinking what is wrong with the cruise control. So I hit the off button to the cruise control and try hitting the gas pedal but the speed still won't increase. Well by now the engine has dyed as well. So I find I spot in a left hand turn lane and turn my hazards on and try to restart it but nothing. So now here we are on a main road trying to start this stupid mini van. Kaylee is getting scared. My husband asks if it is out of gas but the needle is on a quarter of a tank. So anyways we can't get it to start so my husband has to leave me and Kaylee there and run back to the dealership for them to come back and get the van and me and Kaylee. So yeah that was our fun experience with that. Well we get back to the dealer and he says well that hasn't gone through the service department so we can fix anything that is wrong with it. I took one look at him and said you have got to be kidding like I am going to buy something that just left me and my daughter stranded on a busy road. Yeah Right buddy. What if I was by myself with both of my girls. I don't think so. So anyways he comes back with a figure for a 2004 black fully loaded Dodge Caravan. Very clean inside. Looks brand new. So we go look at it and I am like yes this is more like So we were able to talk them down to $12,000. So now I have a practically new mini van for that price. I couldn't let it go so I told my husband he better be signing on that dotted line otherwise he is going to have an upset wife So he does and we drive it home Poor Kaylee though we didn't get back home until almost 11:00 because they took so long in the first place. I will post some pictures of it later. Still waking up and it snowed a little last night so it is freezing outside. Well sorry the story is so long but I just thought my car buying experience last night was crazy! Got a great deal out of it though so I am happy!
