Threading?
Hi, I have been reading about a new place in my area where they do threading and was wondering if anyone ever tried it? It is a type of hair removal instead of the usual waxing, etc. It sounds like it doesn't hurt at all according to their website.
I've never tried it, but I have heard about it. Here is a link with a little more info about it. http://www.hairfacts.com/methods/threading.html
Thanks, I'll check it out!
Thanks, I'll check it out!
I've tried it and i really like it. I've tried the Egyptian threading, it doesn't hurt that much and the eye-brows are more defined than with the waxing.
I saw a woman doing it at a kiosk at the mall... I wanted to stand there and watch (hard not to, since it looks so weird), but I didn't. I just walked by several times, pretending not to really look!
My mom has been doing this for several years and loves it. She always walked away from waxing with her skin so inflamed and this doesn't leave her skin so red and swollen. She keeps encouraging me to go but I don't have enough eyebrows to have anyone else deal with them.
Info and demo below. Very interesting! I don't think anyone in my area does it, but even so, I'll stick to good old fashioned tweezing. Eyebrow Threading
Threading works excellent! Better than tweezing and with no pain. Gets all those funky fuzzy hairs also that you can not always see. Cheap too, I think its about eight bucks a pop. I had my eyebrows waxed once... OUCH! Never again.
I definately have to go now. My hairdresser had told me a couple of months ago someone she knew went and it was torture which turned me off but now after reading all your replies I ' m going! Thanks all!
Sounds interesting. I'll have to look around to see if anyone does it.
Funny, I just checked out the website Trini sent and thats the place I'll be going to. I live in Rhode Island!
I had it done. My skin is very sensitive. I couldn't take it. I won't have it done again. Ame
