I need some creative suggestions
I have a friend who is going to Mexico the end of April. I want to get her a basket at Easter time and fill it with neat things to take on her trip. Any suggestions????
sunglasses, sun block, a book or a gift card for a bookstore, beach towel, lip balm, a sun visor or hat.
After sun lotion, finger nail polish (for her toes!), shower gel.......Colette named all the *good* stuff! LOL
A nice bookmark, room spray to help the hotel smell better. Some of those packets to add to bottles of water.
Immodium A-D!!! LOL (Just in case)
A body pack or I've seen small flat bags on a strap or loop, for holding passport & valuables, to go under your blouse/top. String bag to carry all the stuff she'll buy when going to the markets. Small diary to make notes of events & sights she wants to remember. A good travel book about Mexico, highlighting the things to see. Fodors is one publisher/editor I've seen. You can get them for a specific city or area. When my son & dil went on their honeymoon to Venice & Rome, I got them "walking tour" guide books for both cities, and they found them very helpful.
Suntan lotion,beach towel,benadryl,Benadryl cream,imodium,travel tabs,O magazine,sunglasses and some chocolate(cant forget the chocolate)
I second everyone else! Ginny had my idea about a "walking tour" book. I think that's a great idea!
Throw in some meat tenderizer for jelly fish stings, and a Mexican Calling Card. I just realized you may not be able to get them anywhere, I live on the border so they are everywhere here. What part of Mexico is she going to?
I also forgot about these! There are some GREAT little travel books by Fodor's that are wonderful for keeping with you while seeing the sights. We have one for just about everyplace we've traveled to! They're called Fodor's City Packs, about 10" x 3" (perfect for a little bag), and they have them for tons of major cities. They're in a plastic sleeve, include a at least one map, and include the top 25 sights for that city. We use ours religiously when we travel. They're about $12 ea.
