After searching airfare for months now, and then waking up yesterday and seeing the news and they said airfare was going up..I booked our airfare for our cruise in August. I think I got an ok airfare of about 200$ per ticket. I did not want to pay that much, but was afraid it would go up. It has gone up about 25$ since yesterday. We are flying into Ft Lauderdale a day before our cruise. My parents live in the area, so we will stay with them. When we get back from our cruise, we will stay 2 more nights with my parents. I am so totally excited now. I mean it was exciting booking our cruise, now the airfare is all done. The last thing to do is the rent a car. We are leaving out of Miami. Its cheaper to rent a car, then to find a taxi to drive us back and forth My dad hates driving into Miami so he wont do it.
I am still browsing over the excursions. I will have to talk to the kids/husband about them. I know we will be limited because of Faith only be 2 yrs old. But hey, I have no problem hanging out on a beach somewhere for a couple of hours.
I am so excited, and we do not leave until Aug 19th.(Which will be my sons 12th birthday on that day)WHat a birthday present huh? I am also having a birthday that week, which is Aug 24th, again will be on the cruise, and our Anniversary is Aug 21, so it will be a SPECIAL week for all of us.

Jackie, are you still going to Costa Maya?

The whole holiday sounds lovely with all those important dates in between. I am going to be in Mexico around those dates too. If you were coming to Cozumel i think we could have met to have a beer on the beach, but Costa Maya is a bit far down the coast!

Yes we are going to Costa Maya in one of our port visits. Originally it was suppose to be Cozumel, but they switched it. I think they said because there still is a lot of Hurricane damage there.

Jackie, $200 a ticket sounds very reasonable to me! Considering we just paid almost $1100 for two R/T tickets from N.O. to Ft. Lauderdale to go to the unveiling for my inlaws.

Are you considering the stingray adventure in Grand Cayman? Faith is not too young to enjoy that - that's something your entire family would enjoy.
