Children's reference website
Does anyone know of a good one? My dd has been doing research on several different topics and I'm having a tough time weeding through the technical sites to find something she can use herself. Maybe a children's encyclopedia online or a search engine specifically geared towards kids? Thanks!
Try some of these search engines. I haven't personally used these, but this is a page of search engines geared specifically towards kids. Just scroll down the page till you find one that you want to use, or use a couple till you find one that suits your needs. I hope this helps. kids' search engines
Ask Jeeves has a kid version that's not bad.. I'm at work, so I don't have access to my list on my home computer. I'll get it later for you!
Thanks, Adena and Janet. I found Yahooligans through Adena's link last night and that worked for last night's research. I know that this is going to be more and more needed so I'd like to have some ready to look through when she comes to me looking for information.
thanks for posting this too.
