New baby gift idea...help!
My dh's very close cousin just had her second dd. Her first is 2 1/2. I know this family has everything they need for the new baby. What they have is best of the best. We have to send something. I am thinking of sending a card for the baby and a Jumpstart Toddler computer game for the "big sister". Do you think this is appropriate? Or should I go to Gymbaree and buy the baby a gift?
I always give board books---every shower, every time. It's a joke with my co-workers because they always know that I'm going to give books to work on those language skills--LOL
Ditto Pamt! I give sooo many board books it's ridiculous. I guess it's the teacher in me! The other idea, since you say they have everything, is maybe a savings bond.
Never have enough books...
I think it's appropriate. It's nice that you are remembering the big sister.
Pam, I give books at baby showers, too! They always go over well and I have fun buying them. I just know that the clothes will be outgrown so fast. I think books have more lasting usefulness! I love the Boynton books, Goodnight Moon, The Monster at the End of the Book, etc.
I also think a gift card will be appreciated and the game will get alot of use by the toddler I am sure! My kids loved that series (blake still plays that series)
Thanks everyone! Off to the store...
I bought the baby a photo album. I bought the baby's older sister a sing-a-long cd for bathtime, bathtime crayons and a yellow rubber duckie. Thanks for all of the suggestions!
I was just thinking this afternoon that a photo album is such a great idea!
That sounds absolutely perfect Annie!
All those previous ideas sound good. Here's another: You might want to get hand-knitted booties. Someone once bought them for my baby, and they are adorable!
