I am saddened to hear she passed away today. I thought she was so courageous with her husband. I feel so bad for their son who is now an orphan!

She was a nonsmoker and died of lung cancer. The son is 13. How very sad.

I read about this first thing this morning and it has been on my mind all day. I just can't get her son out of my mind---to have lost both parents within months of each and to be such a delicate age. I hope her sisters and dad rally around him and take him in, get him counseling, and help him process his grief. It just eats me up.

Ditto, Pam. I've been thinking about him all day, too. He's been through so much at such a young age. I too, pray he has a good support system and lots of love to help him cope.

I just feel terrible for their little boy. I think his name is Wil and is in his early teens. Poor kid.
