A Nice Thing About Sears
Since my last post bashing Sears repair service, I learned something nice. They pay those in the reserves who are called to active duty the difference in pay and benefits. They are required by law to hold their jobs for them, but they go beyond what is required. Here's the snopes link. sears Thought it was a good thing. Ame
That's awesome on Sears' part. I think all companies should be required to do this. I know the insurance company I work for treats our military people very well. We make up the difference in pay, hold their jobs, pay their health insurance, etc. and we have a special activities club that meets each week to pack care packages for our troops. And, each year on Veteran's Day, all current and former military employees are invited to a huge breakfast where they are recognized for their service to their country. We do that nationwide in all of our offices. It's just one way of telling our employees who make that committment, thank you.
