Karen, I am a Mary Englebreit-a-holic (DH accuses me of having a shrine or two), so these used to be my dishes:



I had the whole complete set and the dinner plates were scratched, chipped, with one broken and the pattern discontinued. However, the bowls, salad plates, serving dishes, etc. were all in perfect condition so I hated to buy a new set of something else.

I decided on Fiestaware! You can buy as you go, it has been around forever, you can mix and match, and it is always in style. I bought 2 plates in each of the colors below and I can add to it as needed. It's great to put on my Amazon wishlist for family members. It also blends beautifully with mt remaining ME dishes and my kitchen since I have yellow walls, green chairs, and red accents. I highly recommend Fiestaware!!

I have Fiestaware for our everyday dishes and was addicted at one point to shopping for it. LOL I LOVE it! I want every color. My fave so far is the Torqouise !! I think I have 10 or 12 colors? I dont know I'd have to go count again, but I just mix and match every color. Makes a very colorful table.

I *thought* it may have been Fiestaware! We have talked of doing the same thing, buying mitch and max colors. I LOVE that! Where do you normally get it, if not Amazon?

LOL I just went to fiestaware this year. Same reasons, went with the kithchen and the leftover pieces from the last set. My favorite is the maroon (not sure of the official color though). I have sunflower, maroon, and dark blue right now.

I got most from Amazon b/c they were having a sale and free shipping. The other pieces I got at McRae's or Dillard's--can't remember.

You can find it on EBAY too. I have ordered from a couple of good websites. www.usdinnerware.com I liked.

Also, have found it at Kohl's, Dillard's and Linens n Things...

I have bought my service for 12 from Amazon. They have the best prices. If you collect them, I suggest buying only the new ones for eating off of. The old ones have lead in them.

Filene's has sales very often, and they sell those type of things. You might be able to get something there!
