My daughter is having to dress proffessionally now. The dress shoes she wears is makng her feet small awful. Its so bad that she buys a new pair of shoes a week and throws the old ones out. This is getting expensive and there has to be a away to help her out and make her foot odor problem either go away or not so bad.
thank in advance for any and all advice

Can you buy the odor eaters inserts and then toss those. I would think that would be cheaper. Or foot powder? HTH:)

What dress shoes is she buying? When I was teaching and working at a women's clothing store I wore dress shoes daily and didn't have an odor problem. It's good to wear leather shoes, as opposed to vinyl/manmade, because they breathe better. Also, alternate shoes instead of wearing the same pair day after day. Odor eaters are a good idea, too.

My son has that issue with shoes from walmart and payless. We finally wised up and bought him good shoes. If we can't do that (like soccer shoes) we bag those up in a trash bag after spraying with odor eater stuff.

I also will second (or thrird) the need for quality shoes. I used to work in banking and if I wore cheaper shoes (loved Payless) than I would get the odor problem also. I found that I had to buy good quality leather shoes and it went away. Your foot needs to be able to breath and it can't in the vinyl shoes. I spent allot more for the shoes, but they lasted so much longer that it was cheaper in the long run. I would also advise her to use some sort of insole that can be changed such as odor eaters etc. I believe they also make foot creams and powders for this kind of thing.

Ditto buying leather shoes. You don't have to pay a lot...go to TJMaxx or Value City, somewhere where you can get nice shoes without paying full price. It will definitely make a difference!

Sprinkling baking soda into the shoes when you take them off, and leaving them in an "airy" place helps. The next morning, before you put them on, shake out the baking soda! I do this with my DSS gym sneakers and it really helps!

Leather shoes breathe. She can commute in sneakers or something then switch to leather shoes at the office. Hope that helps.

Gotta have leather shoes. I work as a nurse and wear leather sneakers, with my uniform.

Just bought these yesterday, since I needed new shoes. I love them, because they don't come up so high, in the back. My last pair of shoes caused me endless problems, because they put so much pressure on my Achille's tendon.

Skecher Energy Shoes

They were pretty comfy today. I don't have to wear dress clothes to work, though.

She'll probably want to spend a little more and get some nice leather shoes. Cheap shoes tend to stink faster. She'll save money in the long run, especially if she is going through a pair a week with the others.

Is it possible that she has athlete's foot? One of the symptoms of athlete's foot is unpleasant odor.
