I guess most of you remember a month or so ago, when we found a dog, decided to adopt it, then its owner showed up.

Well, we went to a Mardi Gras parade Friday night and parked close to the parade route and when we got out of the car, this dog comes running up to us, friendly as could be. Collar, no tags.....I was thinking *wait, BTDT before*....LOL

Anyway, we start talking to the dog, and I told DH, if this dog is still here when we come back, it's going home with us. Suddenly, I hear this man's voice from inside a trailer nearby calling a dog and the dog takes off running.

I had to laugh. What *was* a car lot last year is now housing some FEMA trailers and other trailers for an electrician's business and apparently some of the employees are staying there right now. I guess the guy thought I was going to steal his dog - and there I was thinking it was another abandoned dog.

It's sort of funny, because when we first saw the dog, I thought *oh no, another *lost* dog!*. And I was SO ready to take it home. I guess I'm a little *too* anxious when it comes to dogs on the street, huh? :-)
