Discusting Tainted water from Peapod.com and Deer park
Peapod.com delivered 60 bottles of dust covered tainted water to my house. DH didn't notice how dirty the bottles were untill after the delivery guy had left. My husband who is a engineer believe it was stored near a heat source and the plastic taste had leached into the bottle. Actually he thought the water had been recovered from a fire source. Anyone know who I can report this to? I reported it to peapod.com (they could care less.) I reported it to deer park. Any more ideas? I can't believe these companies think they can get away with stuff like this with no ramifications.
How did you pay? If by credit card, report this in writing to the credit card company and tell them you are disputing and want the payment withheld. If by Paypal, tell them the same. Also, report to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs of your state. And, tell Peapod if they don't refund your money immediately you will ask your state representative in Congress which federal agency you should make your complaint to. Peapod makes deliveries in several states, so they probably come under the interstate commerce regulations.
I'm sure your local health department would be interested as well.
Thanks those are good ideas.
