Anyone have any ideas other than the hairspray that I've tried to remove ink from inside my dryer?? It's gotten rid of some of it but not all, I know I'm asking for a miracle here...!! Any ideas???

What about nail polish remover?

I have had a few pens show up in the dryer, GRR!! and they have totally killed the laundry in the dryer, but I have never had problems with the next load. I dont know, try throwing something in there like a dark towel that you dont care if it gets ink on it, and I would make it pretty wet. It might rub the ink of the drum.

The nail polish might work too but MAKE SURE IT IS DRY BEFORE YOU TURN ON THE DRYER, I dont think I would do it if it was a gas dryer, I think they have a pilot. Sorry to shout but it is pretty flamable, and that would be pretty bad to set your dryer on fire, of course you wouldnt have to worry about the ink jk.

thank you, I'll try this. I also read on the internet that dawn power disolver for your dishes works. Not sure because I didn't have it to try it!!!

try AWESOME. You can get it at the dollar store. or even KABOOM. I've gotten sharpie marker off of my kitchen table and cabinets with kaboom and awesome works to take out food coloring ( I decorate cakes, a lot, lol)from the counter tops.

if it is a gas dryer I would disconnect the gas before you spray anything and then wait until it is completely dry before you re connect it.

but then again I spray my gas stove with both and have never had a problem.

Kristie, I know you are trying to warn about safety issues, but I don't think she should disconnect her dryer, unless it has a flame pilot instead of an electric pilot. If it has a flame pilot, turn off the gas to the dryer (there should be a handle on the pipe not too far from the dryer), turn it on after all fumes have completely disappeared, and relight the pilot light. To be sure all the fumes are gone, keep the dryer door open and run a small fan in the area of the dryer.

(I'm guessing you meant to turn off the gas when you said disconnect.)

Have you tried Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? These always seem to work wonders for me.
