Soduku puzzles!!
I tried one for the first time today...it said most could be solved in 30 min., but with customers interrupting (can you believe the nerve? LOL) and all, I kept losing my focus. I had all but a couple of grids done, and then things started falling apart. I'll try again later. Anyone else addicted?
YESS!!! I am thoroughly addicted. I love them. It's taken me a while to get really good, and I still can't always solve the hardest ones, but I'm getting better.
If you have 9 numbers and 9 grids, wouldn't there be a finite number of puzzles you could work? Not that I'll ever memorize them, but wouldn't you eventually run into patterns you know already?
STOP! Do not do any more puzzles! Sure, you start with the easy ones, you get better at them, you time yourself to see how quickly you can get it done, then suddenly you think to yourself, 'I can do the really hard ones!' Next thing you know, the kids don't get fed, the dishes don't get washed and the laundry is piled to the ceiling (okay, in my house that only takes a few hours to happen, but still). You start dreaming of the numbers 1 - 9 and 3x3 grids and how do they all fit together??? (Can you tell I've been doing them. too? )
my husband purchased the little cards but i can't see them very good so i haven't even tried yet i tried to look up sites online to do them but couldn't find any? oh well probably better off that way lol = )
Here you go Brandy! Sudoku
LOL, Sunny! I've had to cut back. I use them as my reward for getting things done..."Okay, I'll vacuum the downstairs, then I'll do a puzzle!" Sad. Very sad. Janet, even if it was a pattern you had done before, they could start with different numbers, so you wouldn't even know it was the same pattern until you were finished!
Oh, and Sunny...you are an EVIL woman to show me an online option! Evil, indeed.
I fell in love with these while I was in London. They are HUGE there. Very addictive. I haven't bought any books since I've been home because I'm familiar with the consequences (see Sunny's post)!
Ooh! Ooh! Online puzzles!! I am going to get SO fired...
Oh no! What have I done!?! I try not to let that side of me show, Michele, but I just couldn't resist! I think it might have to do with having an extra 'L' in my name. Think of me while playing online! LOL -Michelle
I am so addicted to this that I even bought ds the board game so we could play together! LOL.
I love them too, my dh & I fight over the books. There is another puzzle that is similar, Kudoku (I think that is the name of it).
I like the crossword puzzle in the Star mag. They added a Sudoko puzzle in there a few months ago. I looked at but didn't try it. Then my sil gave me a Sudoko puzzle book for Xmas. I haven't looked at it yet but will definitently give it a try, now.
lol thanks Sunny i think = )
I tried to get it on my cell phone but Verizon won't let me errr sometimes i hate verizon lol = )
Oh...Sudoku! My mil gave my husband a few puzzles from the newspaper. We both tried them and got hooked. He did them faster because he wasn't as interrupted as I was. It was quite interesting because on a couple of puzzles, we found that we had two solutions. We got sooo addicted. We went through the puzzles and were done. (Did not know about the online option.) For Christmas, mil gave us a whole book! Thank goodness we have been too busy to open it up. But when we do, ...yikes!
Gee Thanks! Now *I'm* going to become addicted. I tried one this morning, and was going along pretty good, then things got crazy at work and I lost my concentration.
Wooo Hoooo!! I solved one in 11 minutes!
lol this is fun huh Karen = )
I am truly addicted now. I solved one just now in 5 min. 51 seconds!
you are good Karen = )
