Birthday party questions
I used to live in Florida and when I did, someone from this board that lived in Florida (sorry I can't remember who it was) had their daughter's party at a store and they did a makover. Now that I have moved to Virginia Beach that is no longer an option but I was hoping to get the department store name so I could possibly check into something here. I have looked online for spas and makeover parties, but they only give me tips for having a spa party at home or a manicure party at home. I don't want to have it at home, I want to take the girls out somewhere, maybe bring them back home for pizza and a movie but not the spa part. Can anyone help me PLEASE!!!!!! Thanks
Have you checked to see if there is a Libby Lu in your area? I live in Southwest VA and there is one at the mall in Johnson City, TN about an hour and a half away. Check out their website. www.clublibbylu.com They do the girl's hair, a makeover, and the girls can make accessories such as glitter gel, lotion, bubble bath, etc. It looks really fun!
we have a beauty school that duz girl bday parties. and u can make it as elaborate as u wish. from simple up dues ( sp) to tierra ( abuut 7.50 apeice) to pedicaures and manicures. then most of the time the mother takes them to a nice place to eat and they have cake and ice cream and the parents pick the kids from there. the price of each child was about 15 bucks and then the meal and cake and such.
Amy Welcome to Va Beach. I also live in Va beach, and have been here for 12 yrs now. Sorry I have no advice on what you are looking for.
Amy, I think that was me. I had my dd's 9th birthday at a LibbyLu. It was in the department store called Parisians but in Mobile, AL. They had a blast. It was all geared to little girls and not very expensive. My dd is a girly-girl so it was the perfect day for her and her friends. The staff did their hair, makeup, they got dressed in costumes with boas and danced to music on a small stage. The makeup and hair was nice looking not overly done. Alot of glitter and braids.
Thank you all for the suggestions. I looked up Libby Lu and the closest one is about 3 hours away, too far for me to take girls for a birthday party. Oh well, maybe I can find something here in the area. Thanks Jackie for the welcome, we used to live in VA Beach about 8 years ago and wow has it changed!! I am still trying to get used to all the new roads and stuff, that wasn't here before, we also lived on the other side of town in the First Colonial area so being over on this side of town was a little bit of a change for me. I will get it though.
We have a cosmetology department at our local college. They will wash/style/manicure a little girl for $5 if it's for a b-day party.
