Update - Ds had doctor's appt. yesterday
Some of you may remember my post about ds's doctor not wanting to keep him on his reflux meds. Well, after I talked to the nurse to check in. She called me back and said that if I wanted to keep him on the meds, I had to actually come in and see his doctor. I didn't think it was a great sign. So, I printed lots of info. from the internet to take in with me. His appt. was yesterday and I was stressed during the entire 45 minute drive. I was planning in my head exactly what I was going to say. Well, we got there and she checked him out. I told her that I knew she didn't really want to keep him on meds. But, then I stated my reasons for wanting to keep him on until summer. She said "I am perfectly fine with that. We want to do what is best for Josh." I just about fell over. She was so adament last time about taking him off the meds this month. So, now I have a 6 month perscriptioin, which should get us through until we move and change doctors. So, all ends well!
Oh Debbie, I'm so happy for you! You know doctors are people too, sometimes we forget that they have off days just like everyone else. Who knows maybe the day you were in she had a fight with her DH and was distracted and not listening. You never know. Good job at being prepared and being ready to stand up for yourself and your son.
That's great, Debbie!
Terrific. Good for you, mom.
Great news, Debbie! Give yourself lots of credit for doing your research, knowing in your gut what was best for your son, and being prepared to *fight* to make it happen. Good job!
Cori, looking back, she must have been having a bad day, I never had problems with her before. However, her behavior on our previous visit was beyond horrible. It was totally uncalled for, whether she was having a bad day or not.
Yikes! You just never know! I'm glad she agreed with you and you get to keep him on the meds for 6 months.
Oh Yayyyyyyyy! I'm so happy to hear it! Ame
I'm glad.
