Some of you may be following Laken's caring bridge page. She is back in the hosptial she has fluid around her major organs. They don't think that the cancer is back but she has a viral infection. She is in ICU and they induced coma. The worst part is with it being a holiday weekend they are hitting lots of obstacles. They needed a surgeon to come in and they called two and they said they would be back on Tues. They were also told the lab was closed until Tues so they couldn't do the necessary bloodwork to find out what the infection was. This is at a major hospital Riley. I can't even imagine. You would think someone would have to be on call. My uncle told my mom it was mostly interns because of the holidays. Please pray for her if you get a minute. Thanks

I just checked her Caring Bridge site. My cousin said the doctor says she is stable but no change. They don't think the fluid seems to reaccumulating but her heart is still enlarged. Tommorrow is her first b-day. So sad she will spend it in the hospital hooked up to a vent. I let you know if I hear anything else. Thanks
