Does this sound okay
I am hosting the Christmas dinner for my in-laws on the 23rd. I am not even sure if my dh will be home, but any way. I have the following planned: Spiral sliced ham Green Bean Casserole Corn Rolls Mashed potatoes Salad & the inlaws are bringing desert. I don't want a lot of leftovers & just want it to be simple because I am doing a dinner for just dh & the kids on Christmas Eve & then a few days later is Olivia's 2nd birthday. I just feel like it isn't enough or is to plain, any suggestions?
My one rule for Christmas dinner is Keep It Simple! You have done that. You have covered all the bases without going overboard. I say two thumbs up on the menu.
Sounds delicious to me. I think you have covered everything. Add a nice wine or punch and you are all set.
Sounds great. As for drinks, I would do wine/ice tea or water. But you know your family what do they drink? My family we are all tea drinkers, hubby's family has to have soda, so I always plan accordingly. Also you might want to think about what you are serving on, eating on etc? Do you want paper for easy clean up, or do you have plenty of flatware and plates?
Mmmmmmmmmm sounds wonderful!
Sounds yummy to me!
My inlaws are coming over, too. I think I'll just copy your menu, if you don't mind. It sound soo good.
Thank you all for the compliments. I do have plenty of flatware & plates. I am the only one that would drink anything other than pop or beer & if they want alcohol they know to bring it themselves. I am good to go, I just need to get the stuff for the salad.
