I'm off today and was supposed to go to see my granddaughter today and celebrate my birthday with her and her proud parents! Fortunately, I'm also off Monday and will go then. But it's so bad right now, I don't think I'll even be able to do Christmas shopping later today.

I am right there with you. I hate snow too!! I just got done shoveling 6 inches out of our driveway. I was cursing dh the whole time. I asked him 3 times before he left this week to get gas for the snow blower. He said he would take care of it, but didn't. So, it sat in the garage while I shoveled. URGGGGGGGGGGG....

I am so sorry you are having to delay your celebration.

Snowing here too. They canceled school before the first flurries came down. We are supposed to get 6-12 inches.

Ginny we are getting snow here to about 6 inches so far and the schools are closed. I guess we have been lucky so far this winter.

We got snow up this way too. Federal Government had a 2 hour delay so here I am. Happy Birthday. I went out to the store last night and finished. Now comes the task of wrapping, looking a the mountian of stuff that I have accumalated I don't think that the 17 rolls of wrapping paper I have are going to enough.

We got about8-9" lastnight (as far as I can tell). Hubby was up at the crack of dawn snowblowing. Cancellations everywhere here. Dreading going to the grocery but we need 'em!

NO SCHOOL here either and the snow is really coming down. I heard the snowplow at 5:30 a.m. and got up to see if school had been cancelled. It sure was a treat to turn off the alarm and crawl back into bed.

Debbie, the actual day is the 11th. I will proudly be 67. Just two weeks before Christmas, which is far enough away that I usually get both birthday and Christmas presents, except for the big stuff. Usually my kids give me the birthday presents (along with the Christmas presents) when we get together for Christmas, so this would be the first time in a long time that I would celebrate with some of my children.

(I remember, back in 1991, I spent the first 10 days of December with my brother in Greenville, when he died of pancreatic cancer. I was coming home on the 11th and my dear mom (who was by then living with me) insisted my three sons be there to greet me when I came home because it was my birthday.)
