Hostess Gift?
We're going to a friend of my mom's for Thanksgiving Dinner and, since we're definitely going as "guests" and she doesn't want us to bring any food, I'd like to bring a gift for the hostess. She doesn't drink so wine isn't an option and I'd planned on picking up a vase and a floral arrangement but she told me yesterday that she'd ordered the most amazing arrangement for the table so I'm out of ideas. I'll have to pick it up tomorrow so I can't make much of anything. Any ideas?
What about a nice candle or a bunch of nice tapers tied with a pretty bow. Maybe a picture frame. I dont' do well with hostess gifts either.
NICE box of chocolates. If she doesn't eat them herself, she can open the box and share with the guests.
How about a nice set of note cards/ stationary? Barnes and Noble has cute ones - probably spend $10 or less.
I like the candle idea - but then, I LOVE candles!
Candles are always a great hostess gift. Starbucks has really fun CDs and coffee to be purchased-those make fun hostess gifts if she is a coffee or tea drinker. Also the cookie makings in a jar are pretty and easy- there are some recipes on the recipe thread!
Thanks, ladies! You're the best at these kinds of things. I may combine a few of your ideas for the ultimate hostess gift.
