Anyone have a heated mattress pad??
I just picked up a heated mattress pad, a friend of mine said that she prefers this over a heated blanket, I'm going to try mine out tonight, supposed to get down to 20 here and I am always sooo cold!!!
When I lived in Chicago I had one. I loved it! It was much better than a heated blanket!
I have one, but this year I'm going back to a heated blanket. With the pad, if it gets too hot, you can't escape it while it cools down. With a blanket you can throw it off until it cools down.
I've had one for 5+ years, and I love it. The trick is to turn it on about a half hour before you get into bed, and then turn it way down or even off when you get into bed. That way the bed is warm and snuggly when you climb in. Last year I got a new one, where the wires are "invisible" to feel. The first one I had, you could feel the wires in it when you rolled over, and I don't really like to put a mattress pad on top of the heated mattress pad. The new one, the wires are so fine I don't feel them. For couples, they come with dual controls.
