I was watching Martha Stewart

And she was talking about baking and silicone bakeware; using it for cookies.

I love baking cookies, but I go through cookie sheets like you wouldn't believe.

So today, I went to the drugstore, and they had silicone bakeware baking mats. I bought one. Came home and made some cookies and I love it.

NO SPRAYING, SCRAPING, STICKING!!!!

The mat stays in wonderful shape, it is not sticky or yucky!

I'm in LOVE:)

I may get the muffin silicone pans and cake pans.

Anyone else use these products?

By Rayanne on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 - 11:32 am:

No...but I may ask for some for Christmas.

By Marg on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 - 11:38 am:

I spent $6.99 for a cookie sheet mat, thought it was expensive, but she said she had hers for 7 years and showed it on TV.

It was well worth the $6.99. My cookie sheet looks new and all I had to do was rinse it off.

I may enjoy baking cookies again;)

LOVE these! I've got a loaf pan, a muffin pan, and cookie sheets. They've made baking even more fun.

By Kernkate on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 - 12:48 pm:

I will have to go buy one since I will be making my Christmas cookies.

I bought some heart shaped muffins pans for my mom and they melted. I'm a little afraid that some of the chemicals in these types of pans will get into my food.

By Enchens on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 - 01:13 pm:

Can I find these anywhere or is there a special store? I might want to check them out. My sheets aren't nice looking anymore, and I take care of them!

By Marg on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 - 01:25 pm:

That would be scary Heaventree, this one is Baker's Advantage by Roshco. It states "FDA approved Oven safe to 500 F"

My oven is a little warmer, so I set it at 335 and had no problems.

I never baked a cake or muffins.

I think I would place a pan under cake and muffin pans because of pulling it in and out of oven?!

This is one is refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.

Enchens, I bought this in a drugstore. I saw them in Food Lion too.

By Rayanne on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 - 01:48 pm:

What color are the ones that you got?
Is Enchens the brand?

By Marg on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 - 04:58 pm:

they are red, I have no idea, I thought "Baker's Advantage by Roshco" was the brand. Sorry, threw the box away.

By Luvn29 on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 - 07:22 pm:

Rayanne, Enchens is one of our user's names... LOL! Just thought I'd let you know.

I've seen these at Wal-mart, too.

Here's a link to some at Target:

Silicone Cookware

*blushing* Oh goodness. What a goof I am. Sorry.

I looked them up, and they are Bed Bath & Beyond by my house. Thanks:).

By Enchens on Thursday, November 10, 2005 - 06:35 pm:

My Walmart didn't have them (unless I missed them completely). I'll check Target when I go Christmas shopping. If not, Bed Bath and Beyond, here I come!

Oh, Rayanne, don't feel bad. You just gave me an idea. If I ever invent something, I'll give it Enchens as the brand name. I'll definitely credit you.
