Hair Straighteners
I was thinking of buying a hair straightener, but don't really know which ones are good. I know that there are real expensive ones, but I just want one around $30.00. What kind do you use, and how well do you like it? TIA
Aquage...it's SO light...I LOVE it! It comes in a cute bottle and it's blue. Call around to hair salons and see if they have it.
I don't think the brand makes much difference in that price range. Just make sure it has ceramic plates and the less bulky the plate section is the easier it is to use, especially in the back. My sister has one that she spent over $200 on but it works so much better than my $30 one. I've heard great things about ionic dryers and straighteners so you might want to look for that too. Let me know what you get. I HATE mine!
Sorry, Rayanne...I thought you were talking about the gel kind...ha ha ha. I'm such a goof.
I didn't even know you could buy these! I've had mine straightened at the salon before for about $50. Worked great!
I have the wet to straight, flat iron and love it, even though it says that you can do it on straight hair, I usually dry mine most of the way and then straighten it. I have VERY curly hair and this one is the best one I have EVER used. good luck, it is hard finding the right one for you, but these run you $30 tops at walmart.
i meant that it says you can do it on wet hair
I HIGHLY recommend the "Chi" straightener. It will replace EVERYTHING in your drawer. It costs about $120. But, it is so very very very worth it. It is just wonderful. It gets extrememly hot almost instantly. It will straighten and you can also flip and curl with it. It's the best thing. I have several other straighteners and a million curing irons in my drawer. They never get used. Easily $200 worth. Should have bought this one to begin with.
My daughter straightens hers every day and she has the wet to dry one and also has to dry her hair half ways before she uses it.This cuts down on the time. She then goes over it with just a regular flatten iron.
Chi products are pricey, but VERY good and worth it. If you are using a straightener on a regular basis, you need to use a product on your hair to prevent it from becoming fried from the heat of the straighteners. I used the Chi Silk Infusion when my hair was longer, they make that and another product to use on your hair for conditioning and damage prevention, particularly when using a straightener. One bottle of that lasted me over a year.
What did you decide on, Rayanne?? I use my cousins when she is over here, but my hair is not really curly just annoyingly wavy..lol
