Glue question
What is the best glue to use for sealing containers that little ones will be playing with? I work with special needs 0-3's and would like to make some noise containers and I want to seal them with something that WON'T come off. Is Aleene's craft glue tough enough? TIA
You could use a hot glue gun. We used hot glue in our play group to seal water bottles filled with things to make noise makers.
GOOP or Liquid nail. Most hot glue will come off. Both Goop and liquid nail are extremely strong!
What kind of bottles are you using? A friend uses screw on caps (baby food or water bottles) and runs Super Glue along the ridges and then screws it on. She swears by it and does this with BABY OIL AND GLITTER!!!! No way *I* would chance that, but it must work!
Duh! I didn't even think of super glue! I generally like liquid nails Yjja, but it's a little tricky to work with in tight areas I think. Super glue is great for tight places. Thanks!
I have found the liquid nails in tubes at Walmart that have small tips--this helps in not squeezing out too much at once. Goop is as strong, comes in a tube and is clear.
Cool! I didn't know liquid nails came that way. I'll check the next time I'm in there. Thanks!
E6000 holds nearly everything!
Gorila glue works really good also. Use it on just about everything
Gorilla Glue! They have it at Lowe's, Ace, Home Depot
