Don't know if you all heard about this show or not, but they have been filming in a small town just south of us for a few days now. I know that a Marine that just got home last week got a house and I think I heard one got a wedding.... BUT, dd brought home a release/consent form to be filmed tomorrow during a special assembly at 2:00pm with Three Wishes. Not sure what they are doing at our middle school, but I guess it is happening tomorrow!!! She is so excited!!

I just read that and it sounds like dd is one of a select few....that isn't the case. The whole school got the forms and there is a assemble for the whole school at 2:00 pm. If it makes it to air, dd will be just a speck in the crowd, but she is excited anyway!! LOL I am excited to see what they are doing at our school!

I will let you know what happens. It starts in about a half hour and I wish I could go!! It didn't say one thing about parents being invited though, so I don't just want to show up. LOL I am picking dd up from school though, so I am hoping to get a peek at Amy Grant if she is still there!!

Well, I am home and have some info! I got there a little early and snuck into the gym to hope to get a peek at Amy! And to see what was going on. Turns out Amy wasn't there, but it is even better. Carter Oosterhouse was!! What a cutie!!

Anyway, a little girl that goes to the middle school wrote in asking for a library. I am not sure of the specifics of her request, but they are putting it in a town of one of the elementary schools. We have 3 elem schools that all combine when they hit middle school. Anyway, they are putting in a library and all the kids have been asked to read as many books between now and Tuesday morning as they can. Three Wishes is coming back Tuesday and they are going to put at least one copy of every book that the kids read into the new library.

So there you have it! While I was there, they filmed something that they called a "live shot" and they did film it on the side of the gym that my dd was sitting on, so we shall see if she makes it on tv! LOL I will let you know when it is supposed to air!!

I love this show.. Makes me cry EVERY time I watch it. So heart warming and often life changing.. Amazing the things they will do for the people that get picked.. Just a feel good kind of show, very nice to see...

UPDATE: Filming finished up yesterday for the show. I am not sure what week it is going to be on, but it should be a good one. They also grant some smaller wishes, but I am pretty sure the three big ones that will be on the air will all involve local schools. There is a teacher at one school that got a wish asked for by her students. The second one involves a senior boy at another local school (granted and presented at Amy's concert last night) and the third is Nicole, the girl that goes to my dd's school that asked for the library!! Amy and Carter were both at the library dedication yesterday. It has been a wonderful thing for our community!! I don't want to give too much away, but it should be REALLY good! LOL I will let you know when I start seeing previews for it!!
