Big Bad Voodoo Daddy concert
Sarah's band teacher got free tickets and she got one. Then she wanted me to go, even though we won't be able to sit together. So, I went and bought a ticket. Just need to find Emily a ride home from church tonight. Should be fun! They play swing music. Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Arts We got to hear some of their sound checks, while we were in the box office! Well, time to take Emily to church for supper club and confirmation!
Love this band! Have fun! I have one of their CDs!
Concert was great. It's too bad DH had to work. He would have loved it! We bought him a CD. The music was great. I love music played well! I don't know how the trumpet players could play those ultra-high notes! Yikes! I love listening to saxophones, too! When the drummer finally had a solo, I thought of the drummer for my choir. He is just a teenager, but sooooooo good. Then we saw Patrick, after the concert. I wasn't at all surprised to see him there! I think he is almost as good as the Voodoo drummer! Afterwards, they had a "meet and greet." We got to talk to them and get autographs. Then we went home. Sarah wanted a picture of the marquis all lit up, but the batteries in the camera were dead. So we drove home, got new batteries, and came back. Then it turned out that BBVD was still in the lobby and people were taking pictures at that point. So, she got a picture of the band and one with her and the band! She is one happy kid tonight! The marquis
2 of the pictures were too big! LOL! Then I had to take the dog outside and it wouldn't let me upload them! BBVD BBVD with Sarah
She looks SOOOOOOOOOOO excited. I don't even know what/who they are.lol... SOunds like a great night!
We really didn't know who/what they were, either! It was a totally spontaneous thing, that we ended up going to the concert! Sarah had seen them on the MD telethon, and called me into to watch them on the tv. We already knew they were coming to Sheboygan. It was part of a concert series and we already knew about that. So, I already knew their style of music is something that DH would like.
I LOVE this band Dawn!!! I'm jealous! lol I think its SOOOO awesome you got to see them. Their CD's are great. I even have a few of the songs downloaded on my Mp3 player for when I exercise! lol Way cool!!! I heard their CD at a friends house who was hosting Bunko one night. Was such cool music in the background while we were playing bunko! The pic's are GREAT!! Thanks for posting. Another CD I am addicted too right now is Mushroom Jazz... Its kinda wierd at first and then I cant turn it off. lol My dss introduced me to it a couple of yrs ago and I got it back out this summer. LOVE IT! Mellow. Glad you had a good time!!!
