Kaye, did you know I have a good friend IRL named Kay that has her masters in occupational therapy?
Did you know that I met my husband by trying to fix him up with my friend. We all worked together, but him along with my friend are 16 years older than me. I am 32 and he is 48! My friend is 48 and ended up marring a 35 year old. Imagine how we confuse people when we double date.
Did you know that I met my hubby through a dating service that a friend talked me in to joining with her?

Did you know it only took DH and I 8 days to conceive Kaitlyn? If I count back from the day I ovulated to the day DH got home from deployment, it's 8 days. This time around i've been off BC since July 20, 04 and still am not pg.
Melissa, did you know I haven't taken birth control since 1990, and have only conceived once, in 1994??? Did you also know that I have this feeling I'll be shocked to find out I'm pregnant when I'm 45 or something??? LOL
Did you know... that I went to an extremely small Christian High School and there were 4 in my graduating class and 1 got kicked out, 1 moved right before graduation and 1 failed. So guess who graduated ALONE? Yep. Sarah..Class of '88. Atleast I was top in my class :-)

Did you know that my mom and dad split up when I was little...and I'm one of 8 children between the two of them AND the only girl. I'm my mother's youngest (3 older brothers) and my dad's oldest (4 younger brothers)

Did you know that my rescued doggie Dutch is going to be in a fundraising for animals calendar with Judge Judy? Yesterday was also his third birthday.
Did you know that when I was in the 5th grade and my oldest brother was a freshman in high school he got Reye's Syndrome and almost died? He spent a week in ICU and was out of school for a month. He came through it well though, without any lasting effects. (I tell people he's as "normal" as he ever was! lol)
Did you know that my dh was never interested in going on vacation when we first got married. He never went anywhere when he was growing up. Now i have him LOVING to go on vacation. And the 1 place he REALLY wants to go back to ?? DISNEY WORLD LOL
Did you know, sometimes when Faith wakes up during the night crying, I "pretend" Im still asleep, so My husband has to go tend to her LOL
Did you know that I am the one who snores, not my husband, and that he has slept so horribly lately that I have felt guilty and moved to the couch? I feel so sorry for the poor guy LOL!
Did you know that my husband gets mad at me if I move out to the couch because his snoring is bothering me? He'd rather have me wake him up and then send him out to the couch??? Um, I think not!

Did you now that I lived on a sailboat for three years with my hubby-pre baby- and we did summers on the Outer Banks of NC and winters in Florida or the Bahamas! What a blast!
Did you know I made a 92 on my first college test (post bachelors..lol). This is before the curve, 3rd highest in the class. I am so excited, I was very nervous!

Did you know that I met my hubby at work? We were both working at a frozen seafood plant and we packed it and we ended up on the end of the line together and have been together ever since.
Did you know that I start planning our vacations a year in advance and... start buying and packing new clothes for the trip. Granted, I only shop clearances and sales but I always make sure we have new things for our vacation. I think it makes it more special. Weird huh?

Did you know...that I quit high school in the last few weeks of my 10th grade.Then,20 yrs.later,I took my GED test COLD TURKEY,and scored so high that I was an HONOR STUDENT !! I recieved my GED certificate,and an honor student certificate.
Did you know I had encephalitis when I was 18 and nearly died? The seriousness of it could have probably been avoided if the doctor my mom trusted had not insisted it was a sinus infection (due to the excruciating headache) for days before I ended up in the ER unconscious. There is an entire week of my life that I have no memory of.

Did you know that I hate Disneyworld because I think it is overpriced, over-rated, and just not that much fun? My children have been once (with my mom) and without any input from me they feel the same way.

I'm always shocked at people that don't like Disneyworld, too. I LOVE Disneyworld, but I know a few people that feel the way Pamt does. I think people either really like it or can't stand it.

Did you know that my dh is trying to plan a Disney Cruise for us to go on the week after Christmas? The ship is booked but we are first on the list if there is a cancellation. ( see my earlier post about dh and vacations LOL)
Wendy I eat my cereal warm too. I eat Wheaties. I also don't like sugar on most cereals.
Did you know that I don't really like breakfast food? 6 days out of 7, I eat some dinner leftovers and a drink a Coke Zero. (After I have my post-workout shake and water.)
Did you know that we evacuated the suburbs of New Orleans on my son's sixth birthday, spent the next three weeks living out of ONE suitcase, finally moved back two days ago to begin cleaning up, eating military MRE's (never thought I'd be glad to have them!) and now are facing another evacuation? We first evacuated to my sister's but now her family has to evacuate for Rita so I have no clue as to where we will go. I do know that wherever we go there will be nice, caring people to help us. And through it all, I've not met ONE person behaving badly. When I got back to my town the Family Dollar's front windows were completely blown in and all of the merchandise was just sitting there. There were people living in my town a week before I came home. The CNN footage of the looting showed a SMALL part of what's really going on around here. People are helping strangers, the police are givng kids candy at the Red Cross stations, neighbors are climbing on each other roofs and covering the holes so rain from Rita won't get in. This is a wonderful country with wonderful people. It's a shame that the news makes our area look like the only people who live here are selfish animals.

Did you know that I am absolutely terrified of frogs? I can't explain it but I can't stand the slimy little creatures!!
Did you know I that I always found hurricane warnings *a little exciting* until this year? Having spent all but 9 years of my life within 60 miles of the gulf in either AL or LA I have been through a bazillion hurricane watches and warnings --the prep, talk about town, etc. are a little fun and bring the community together. The reality of a hurricane---NOT so much fun. I'm really weary.
Did you know that my DD went into the "dirty" laundry tonight, stole a pair of my panties and then proceeded to walk around the house with them around her neck? How embarrassing and hysterical!!

Pam, I did too, when living in South FL. Of course, I lived there during "slow" years, my grandmom's house (in the same town) took damage last year with the storms.
Kaye... I know it's being projected more to the west than originally thought, but my gut feeling is it's going to change direction again, and hit TX dead on. We almost moved to Port Lavaca for a firefighting job, thank God we didn't because I think they are gonna take a major blow!!
Did you know that in a town an hour and a half from me, the price of gas jumped from 99/litre to 2.59/litre today???? Did you also know that I got it at 99 today, and it still took $39 to fill it up from 3/4?!!!!!!
Did you know I got married 2 days after my dad's birthday. Then 2 months later he married the woman he had been with for 7 years. So I have been married longer (by 2 months) than my dad. lol

Did you know that my mom has been married 12 times to 10 different men (she married 2 of them twice)!! But my dad never remarried until 5 years ago…and he is still with her now. Yeah. I had a lot of step-dads…I did not like my childhood.. not alot of good memories. So when I say it is a big deal for me to be married to 1 man and have all 3 children by him, and still love him so much (even though he gets on my nerves sometimes) I mean it is a really big deal to me.

We are going to put our candles and homemade treats inside for the neighbors and hubbys co-workers. We have A LOT to make so we are making a few each weekend. It is fun!

Did you know that I am a horrible lawn keeper? I do the bare minimum and hate it. I love a beautiful lawn though, so it makes me sad. I just mowed the lawn and realize how much work it needs and it needs a lot really every week. Hubby doesn't do outdoor work (heck he hardly does any manual labor)
Yvonne...where do you get clean paint cans? That's a cute idea! And, Kaye I love a good lawn and I actually love to mow the lawn but DH insists on doing it. Which, I don't mind now that we live in a humid area now.

did you know that last night, while being a complete idiot I stood up, under my dresser, drawer out and hit my head harder than I ever thought possible. did you know that I am a former special ed teacher and I get offered a job nearly once a month? I just turned one down this morning that is making me think twice..LOL. I would have to give up my tennis team to work this job, but it would fit in every other area of my life. So basically playing tennis (0 dollars) is more important than making 1k a month, I may be crazy!
Kaye, I don't think you are crazy for making that decision at all! That is important "you" time, not to mention the health benefits. If you don't *have* to work, I would say keep your tennis time!

Did you know this is the first time since I moved out of my parents' home 10 years ago that I've heard someone mention a chicken coop? My mom still has one in the backyard. Though we really aren't supposed to have more than three chickens because we are within the city limits. I ask myself, "What city?? We live in Farmersville!" That should say it all.
Did you know that I spent the weekend in PA and NJ with my family there, getting sloppy kisses and sticky snuggles from my great nieces and nephews. WONDERFUL!!!!

Did you know that another side of effect of the hurricanes is there are NO rental cars in Houston? I have been on 10 waiting list since yesterday at 8 am and just happened to luck into one at 3 today. I had 30 minutes to pick it up or they would have to give it to someone else. YIKES. My dh had a wreck and he has my car at work and tomorrow we both have to be a different places at different times. Crazy!
Did you know that I live in Ontario, and it is going to be close to 90 again today, on this the 6th day of October?? WOOHOO!!!! The leaves are beautiful, and the weather is the best!! Can't beat this, for sure!! Well, we could beat it if I write this same thing on Nov. 6!!

Did you know that when I was in the Air Force I secretly dated my immediate supervisor for almost two years. There were only three or four people that knew we were dating. Others suspected, but had no proof. Btw, I married him.
Did you know I've only started Christmas shopping for one person - dd - and she has 3 gifts already with a long list of other ideas that we want to get for her?? It may be a large Christmas for her this year! But I don't care - she's 15mths. and we don't buy things for her just whenever. It's just so fun!
