It must be medical expense month...

Sheesh!

Kaitlyn has an optometry appointment Monday. I hope all is okay because I can only imagine the costs of that.

I have to get my cavities filled and if i'm brave enough go in to get my wisdom teeth removed. (probably about $800 total, if I don't get sealants for my teeth)

My dog needs her 6 month xrays and i'm sure her knees have only gotten worse and she's developing arthritis. (I'm guessing about $400 before the doctor tells me she's a good candidate for a $3000 surgery.)

I'm guessing we're close to a good $2000 in the hole this month. Bleh! Plus or minus a few bucks. I think my dogs vet bills scare me more than anything. I knew this time would come eventually but I didn't think her knees would go bad at 5 years old. :(

I think this stuff goes in spurts sometimes! Poor doggie! What kind of dog is she? 5 doesn't really seem that old, for a dog.

Just wait until the dentist says you start needing crowns! Yikes, they are expensive! Insurance covers about half.

Just wait til she starts school and everything falls in July/Aug. :) Oh and like me you get to multiply it by 3.

We had 1 child getting cortizone shot in a keloid in July, 2 boys getting physical exams for sports (we were out of town when they offered FREE ones :( ), 3 boys getting teeth cleaned, then blake had to get a cavity filled, 3 boys getting hair cuts, 1 ds that switched from glasses to contacts (but we called that his 13th birthday gift ), school supplies that included a $300 percussion kit for my ds beginning band in middle school, marching band uniform/shoes for ds beginning junior high *marching* band, a free sports camp ended up costing us over $100 by the time we paid for all the supplies and gas to get there and back, football camp cost me $60 in July, my fisherman (11) got a treble hook stuck through his nose- so we had emergency room bill end of July.... My mother inlaw and her husband borrowed our truck to pull a trailer and they wrecked it... That just cost us $1500 dh only asked them for $500. (total damage was $3500)

Is this making you feel any better at all??? LOL!! The really sad thing is this isnt all we have had to pay for in the last couple of months. And next month my personal property taxes are due.

Gosh I feel like having a glass of wine about now.

Dawn, she is a Siberian Husky. She will be 6 next month but her knees started having problems about 9 months ago. She has a minor tear in both knee ligaments that looked at about a 50/50 chance of needing surgery, pending xrays 6 months later (September). She's not looking any better and to top it off the dogs got out yesterday morning and we're running around for a few hours. Last night, she was sooooo sore. She could barely lift her hind end up after laying down. :( It's sad. And of course, weighing in the quality of life vs. surgery decision. I still don't know what the right decision would be and i've had 6 months to think about it.

Conni- actually, you did make me feel a little better. :) Maybe we'll just enjoy a glass of wine together. :)

I almost didnt post it Melissa I thought it might become BC for you and others that are TTC. You'll all be telling your dh's that you are no longer interested in TTC. LOL

Yikes, Conni! High school is expensive! $84 to register! $11 for band uniform cleaning fee. Fortunately, she has the white shirt, black shoes and black socks from other years. I almost hate August, with school registration and school supplies. The good thing is that I usually work lots of hours in August to help pay for it all!

If the sealants are for deep grooves in your back teeth, I'd say invest in them. I got mine done eons ago because the grooves in my back teeth were so deep, and I've never had cavities in them.
