Something kids can do for Hurricane Katrina victims (kids)
My daughter wanted to do something for the kids who lost everything in the hurricanes. We came across a website called Operation Toy Box. They "provide new and gently used toys to young people affected by disaster and seeks to instill a spirit of volunteerism in other young people by engaging them in our disaster relief process". We are gathering up toys (small they must fit in a large ziplock bag) to send. Both the kids feel great that they are doing *something*. If anyone wants the address let me know. I am not sure if I can post it here.

It's ok to post it, Yvonne, but have you checked out this Operation Toy Box to be sure they are (a) a legitimate charity and (b) have the means to accept, sort, and deliver the thousands of toys they will be getting?
here is their web page http://www.operationtoybox.org/index.htm
